BRIAN BUCKLEY BAND Los Angeles, California based Brian Buckley Band - each song a unique world in itself. The first album from the Brian Buckley Band “For Her” was released independently to great success in 2006. The album landed in the Top 10 of iTunes European chart for two consecutive weeks, while it was also featured on the front page of iTunes in the USA. “For Her” was produced by Arthur Barrow (Frank Zappa, Billy Idol, Diana Ross) with Vinnie Coluiata (Frank Zappa “Joe’s Garage” ) as a featured drummer on some tracks. The project was executive produced by Jared Padalecki (Supernatural, Gilmore Girls). The album went on to be re-released in the U.S. by Sonic360. BBB music has been featured in a number of independent films. Their song “Bye Blue Sky” was featured over the closing credits of the film “Flying Lessons” . The film opened the 2010 Santa Barbara Film Festival and featured Hal Holbrook, Christine Lahti, Jonathan Tucker and Maggie Grace. “Shipwrecked” was featured in the documentary “Spare Some Change” and “I Guess I Didn't Know My Own Strength ” was featured at the San Diego Film Festival in the Sarah Wilson/Neal Thibedeau production of “The Accidental Death of Joey by Sue ” . Additional Brian Buckley Band recordings include the album, “Without Injuring Eternity ” produced by Mark Howard (U2, Tom Waits, Lucinda Williams, Bob Dylan). The album was recorded at the famed Mack Sennett Soundstages in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. The sessions were photographed by Steven Barston (Guitar World, Vanity Fair) and filmed by Dave Garcia/KOMBINE Media (Capitol Records, Warner Bros. Records). Yellowcard violinist, Sean Mackin performs as a guest artist on the album. BBB live performances include, Indie Thursday/Renaissance Hotel, Hotel Café, The Mint (residency in 2008), Viper Room, King King and the Rainbow on Sunset in the Hollywood, Los Angeles area. They have also performed at The Loft (Highland Park), the Echoplex (Silver Lake), The Dakota and the Apple Store (Santa Monica), the Blue Café (Long Beach), the Zen Lounge (Hermosa Beach), Marilyns on K (Sacramento), The Supernatural Fan Events in San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles as well as House Of Blues Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA and Las Vegas, NV. In 2011, BBB song “If I Was A Lover” was nominated in the 'rock song' category by the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. In addition, their song “My World ” was licensed in The Reaper (ABC). Press features include, Music Connection Magazine, Alternative Press Magazine, Wood & Steel, Good Morning Sacramento (ABC-TV) and The Sacramento Bee (print) as well as Red Carpet appearances at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards and Santa Barbara Film Festival.
