ELISA RODRIGUEZ
 Singing on the stage at the Apollo Theatre, acting on MTV, modeling for Clairol/Wella - now that’s a multi-talented young woman. Elisa Rodriguez has done all this and more. Elisa is best known as a semi-finalist on the hit MTV series “Making The Band.” Her career has also included singing with Anthony Fedorov (American Idol Finalist), performing on MTV’s TRL and Univision’s Objetivo Fama as well as hosting segments for the Internet Fashion Magazine MetroVelvet.com. In addition, Elisa has shared the stage with Mariachi Vargas - the oldest running mariachi group in the world.
Growing up in South Texas, Elisa was a true budding performer in high school. To hear her tell it, “If it wasn’t for being in Choir, Mariachi Band, Cross Country, Soccer, Class Secretary, and Track and Field, I don’t know how I would have made it through high school. My goal was to finish early and move to New York City to start my career in the entertainment world, for music and performing was my outlet, my world.”
Elisa’s start in the entertainment business began when she won Miss Teen Laredo 2000 in her home state of Texas. She continued to pursue her dreams by performing in various bands and as a solo artist in the southwestern section of the U.S. In 2005, as the national auditions for Sean “P Diddy” Combs hit reality television show “Making The Band” made its way to Texas, Elisa gave it a shot. Not only did she pass the audition, she was selected out of thousands to travel to New York City and join the show. While Elisa enjoyed performing in front of millions of television viewers, she knew she had to go and make her own way in the entertainment business.
As Elisa auditioned and networked the entertainment business in New York City, she presented her demo to Tom Bradley of TC Music, LLC at a BMI Music Conference at the Gibson Guitar Showroom in New York City. TC Music partners Tom and Concett Bradley were so impressed they asked Elisa to record and release her debut single with them. The track “Heaven Can Wait” is slated for release in the summer of 2008.
In addition, Elisa’s career has included performances for U.S. Congressmen Henry Bonilla, Henry Cuellar, Texas State Senator Judith Zafferini and beauty pageant host Donald Trump. Elisa frequently graces the red carpet in New York City for such events as The Sarah Ferguson Foundation, ESPN, the openings of Grease on Broadway and The Fantasticks. Elisa’s modeling career is booked by Emmanuel New York Models.
Currently Elisa is writing and recording with Michele Vice-Maslin (Nick Carter, Eden’s Crush), Jimmy Greco (Jennifer Lopez , Celine Dion, Carlos Santana), Alisa Eisenberg (Sex & The City) as well as modeling in the “Wella/Clairol Tour” that will take Elisa across the U.S. in 2008. Look for her debut release “Heaven Can Wait”, a rousing club anthem dance song that will introduce Elisa to the world as the next Latin American singing sensation.
